Vasif started his career with Maveric as a “Management Trainee” back in 2007. He has worked on various projects and handled large delivery teams. He has been part of complex ETE T24 implementation programs. He has managed a portfolio of accounts with close to 14 MN USD YOY revenue. He is seen as a good example of how a management grad can grow into a leadership role within the software industry. His keen eye on the delivery and project management has helped him garner the required recognition from client and was successful in converting some of the regional accounts into key accounts for the organisation. Vasif was recruited from campus and he himself had seen the journey in this organisation of moving from a fresher to AVP. What is his advice to someone considering a future in technology?
Any established bank would always take a calculated step towards bringing newer technology to their eco-system just to ensure there is no customer impact (both Internal/External). We should give that assurance to our customers by picking the best of the available technologies based on their proven records rather jumping on to everything which is new. End of the day we are dealing with large banks which have zero tolerance towards IT/software led glitches or issues. He believes products that could enable more freedom to end consumer for satisfying their banking needs in much faster pace are the ones to go for.

Sreepada is a Data Integration specialist with over twenty years of IT Delivery experience, which includes Big Data, Data warehousing, ERP and Client Server technologies. What is his advice to someone considering a future in technology?
If one has chosen the path of IT, there is no end to learning. Make sure the person has a strong foundation of any one programming languages (C, C++ , Java etc), good understanding of Unix and good knowledge of at least one Database(Oracle MS SQL, DB2). With this kind of foundation it becomes more easier to acquire newer skills.

Agile and DevOps, test automation, artificial intelligence for testing, and API test automation are the most noticeable trends. You can master these technical skills to accomplish amazing things.

Not everything can be automated in IT. Develop human skills – connecting with team members, design thinking, walking out of the comfort zone to achieve goals. Tools and technology that can be practised (Data related- Data Analytics, Visualization, Cloud computing and Big Data).

Shan is a Transact Technical Architect; when it comes to solutions, his mind acts very fast to apply the solution, which never fails. Cloud, devops, API, Integration – these are the key mantras for the banking world. Always adapt to the innovations in these areas. That will help the associates to stay relevant in the industries. Along with technology , assoictaes should have sound knowledge on the interfaces with various systems like payment gateways, reporting systems, etc. This will make an associate a complete Banking Architect.
